رياضة · Skydiving collisionSkydive elisinore collision deaths: Levi Pimentel and Georgia Jean identifiedبُثّ 8 نوفمبر 2026 في 10:49 م UTCشاهدالنص المفرّغ0:07Officials identified Levi Pimentel and Georgia Jean, the two women killed in the0:11landing collision.0:12On November8, we reported that two licensed, experienced visitors had died at0:16Skydive Elsinore.0:18Their names weren't included then.0:19Official death notices now identify both women, and a participant describes a shared0:24goal of training toward a women's formation record.0:26Investigators still need to explain how their paths crossed while they were0:29approaching the ground with their parachutes open.0:31Levi Pimentel was twenty-nine and lived in Aurora, Illinois.0:35Georgia Jean was fifty-six and lived in Box Elder, South Dakota.0:38Both had traveled to Lake Elsinore, California for the organized skydiving event.0:43Their families had been notified.0:44The coroner's office published the notices on November7.0:47Both linked the women to the same incident and named the Riverside County Sheriff's0:51Office in Lake Elsinore as the investigating agency.0:54Pimentel was also reportedly listed on LinkedIn as a lead instructor at IFLI0:58Naperville, an indoor skydiving company.1:00Participant Chazy Rutz described the group's target as a nineteen-way upright1:04formation, with nineteen women participating.1:06She described the existing benchmark as a twelve-way formation.1:09Those were the training goal and the benchmark she gave.1:12The group was working toward a record.1:14In an upright formation, the skydivers appear to be sitting in the air.1:17The women were experienced participants working toward that collective goal.1:20The emergency came later in the jump during the approach to landing after their1:24parachutes had opened.1:25Deputies found both women on the ground receiving medical aid after the air1:29emergency call.1:30Ambulances took them to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildemar in critical1:34condition.1:35Both died there later that day, after being injured in a dirt field in Lake1:38Elsinore.1:39Skydive Elsinore described the free fall and parachute openings as normal.1:43Its account places the collision close to the ground.1:46As the women prepared to land, Rutz also described their open parachutes becoming1:50entangled after they came too close together.1:52Skydive Elsinore says the women collided about one hundred and fifty feet above the1:55ground.1:56The company says that collision entangled their parachutes, and both suffered1:59critical injuries when they reached the ground.2:01That sequence places the emergency after deployment on the approach to landing.2:05The height remains an estimate.2:07Skydive Elsinore gives about one hundred and fifty feet, while an earlier account2:11gave fifteen meters.2:12The coroner notices provide no altitude measurement to resolve that difference.2:16The training objective also doesn't explain why the women's flight paths converged.2:20Both notices record the injuries at eleven forty five amperes m.2:24On November6, Georgia Jean's recorded death came forty one minutes later, and Levi2:29Pimentel's came forty four minutes later.2:31Those intervals are differences between listed times.2:34They don't measure the ambulance journey.2:36The recorded injury time is two minutes before the deputy dispatch time we reported2:40earlier.2:40Both notices confirm November6 as the date of injury and death.2:44Their shared investigation links the deaths, but investigators still have to2:48determine what brought the women together in the air.2:50The word final appears on both coroner notices as their status.2:54Those notices identify the women and record where and when they died.2:57The sheriff's investigation into the collision continues, and the notices contain no3:01equipment determination or finding of responsibility.3:04Skydive Elsinore says it found no evidence of equipment malfunction.3:07That's the operator's preliminary assessment.3:09The sheriff's office says the Federal Aviation Administration was notified and would3:13collect the parachutes and investigate.3:15Officials haven't confirmed that the parachutes have been collected or examined.3:18The women's identities and the accident date are now confirmed.3:21The landing sequence still rests on the operators and participants' descriptions.3:25Why two experienced skydivers became entangled after their parachutes opened, and3:29whether equipment contributed remains unresolved.التسلسل الزمني
