Two men are now dead after the shooting near a northwest Baltimore gas station on Monday, October 19. Of the three men police found wounded that afternoon, only one has survived. The latest account identifies the men who died as 24 and 30; the surviving man, 21, was taken to a hospital in stable condition. 2

Police have also corrected the reported scene to the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road, replacing the original address in the 5200 block of Muth Avenue. The correction concerns the same shooting, not another incident. WBAL-TV’s update displayed at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, reported both the second death and the revised location. 14

HeyDay previously reported the shooting in an earlier 17:17 airing titled “At least 3 shot in Northwest Baltimore.” The consequential development now is the second death, which supersedes the initial account of one man killed and two injured. The available record does not establish whether the first death was already known at that earlier airing.

What happened on Monday afternoon

Officers responded at approximately 4:26 p.m. on October 19 and found three men with apparent gunshot wounds, according to Baltimore police as reported by WBFF. All three were taken to a hospital. The 24-year-old died despite efforts to save him. CBS Baltimore describes the response as around 4:30 p.m., a rounded account of the same response. 1 2

The initial descriptions placed the shooting between Royal Farms and Carroll Fuel gas stations, or near Fuel Motor Fuels. Those descriptions explain the gas-station references in the early coverage; the subsequently corrected street address is Windsor Mill Road. 1 2 14

By Tuesday morning, police had confirmed that a second man, identified as 30, had died at a hospital. The timestamp on WBAL-TV’s update establishes when that development was reported, not when the man died. No precise time of his death has been established in the available accounts. 14

One detail remains unexplained. The initial WBFF and CBS accounts listed the two surviving men as 39 and 21. The latest CBS account identifies the deceased as 24 and 30, with the 21-year-old surviving. The later toll replaces the earlier one, but the reporting does not explain why the other wounded man’s age was first given as 39 rather than 30. That discrepancy should not be silently treated as an officially explained correction. 1 2

The surviving man’s last reported condition was stable. That is the extent of the verified medical update: it does not mean he has left the hospital, fully recovered or escaped lasting injury. No newer account of his condition has been established. 2

Fear nearby, unanswered questions ahead

Suah Lee was heading home when she noticed the commotion and stopped to learn what had happened. In WBFF’s reporting, she described feeling unsafe in her own community. Her account is of encountering the aftermath; it does not establish that she witnessed the gunfire or could identify whoever fired. 1

I was so surprised and scared.

That reaction captures an immediate consequence beyond the hospital toll: someone on an ordinary journey home found herself stopping at a shooting scene and worrying about safety close to home. It offers no answer to the central investigative questions, which remain unresolved.

Known

  • Two men have died, a 21-year-old man survived and was last reported stable, and homicide detectives are investigating. 1214

Unknown

  • The verified accounts do not establish the victims’ names, a motive, the number of assailants, a suspect’s identity or an arrest. They also do not explain the age discrepancy.

Next

  • Watch for an official identification of the victims, a medical update on the survivor and evidence of progress toward identifying who fired.

There is no verified basis to call this shooting targeted or random, or to assign any of the wounded men a role beyond victim. The corrected address and revised death toll make the account more precise. They do not yet explain why three men were shot—or who will be held responsible.

As aired 13 lines
  1. A second man has died after the shooting near a Baltimore gas station. That brings the toll to two dead and one injured. Homicide detectives are trying to determine who fired and what led to the shooting.
  2. The men who died were 24 and 30. The surviving man is 21, and he was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police found all three with apparent gunshot wounds after responding Monday afternoon, October nineteenth.
  3. Police corrected the shooting's location to the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road in northwest Baltimore. The original location was the 5200 block of Muth Avenue. Both addresses refer to the same shooting.
  4. The shooting happened near Fuel Motor Fuels. The first description placed the scene between Royal Farms and Carroll Fuel gas stations. Officers responded at about 4:26 in the afternoon, and all three wounded men were taken to a hospital.
  5. The 24-year-old died despite efforts to save him. By Tuesday morning, police had confirmed that a second man, identified as 30, had died at a hospital. Tuesday's update confirmed the death without specifying when he died.
  6. Police initially listed the two surviving men as 39 and 21. The latest information identifies the men who died as 24 and 30, with the 21-year-old surviving. Nobody has explained why the earlier age was 39 rather than 30.
  7. The surviving man's last reported condition was stable. His recovery continues to be one of the unresolved consequences of a shooting that left three men wounded and ultimately claimed two lives.
  8. Suah Lee was heading home when she noticed the commotion and stopped to find out what had happened. She described feeling unsafe in her own community. She said, “I was so surprised and scared.”
  9. The shooting followed two separate shootings Sunday night. One happened at a BP gas station on Edmondson Avenue. The other happened at Pepper Liquor Store on Reisterstown Road. Their victims are separate from the three men wounded Monday.
  10. The Edmondson Avenue shooting killed two people and injured three. The liquor-store shooting injured another three people. At the gas station, the people killed were a 34-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man.
  11. The recent shootings come as the city records more people shot than at the same point last year, even while its homicide count is lower.
  12. By Tuesday morning, police counted 253 people shot in Baltimore this year, compared with 247 at the same point in 2025. The city had recorded 101 homicides, compared with 105 a year earlier.
  13. In the Windsor Mill Road shooting, police haven't identified a suspect or explained a motive. Homicide detectives are investigating. The surviving 21-year-old was last listed in stable condition.
