Laboratory coral color recovery experiment
Situación actual
In a laboratory experiment, bleached coral regained its color after contact with a healthy genetic match, becoming visually indistinguishable from its neighbor over nine weeks. The method’s stated limitation is that it requires genetically matched corals; the nine-week observation’s conclusion is not yet reported.
Pendiente de: Any fuller experimental documentation or announced follow-up clarifying species, replication, durable recovery and whether field testing is planned.
