Conflict · Gaza strikesGaza Israeli strikes: Eight reported killed in two attacks, including a childUitgezonden 4 november 2026 om 11:37 UTCDit dossierTranscript · LADEN0:07An Israeli missile struck beside a school in Gaza City.0:10Hospital officials say three people died there, including a four-year-old boy.0:15Gaza's Hamas run interior ministry says five police officers died in a separate0:20strike.0:21The unresolved issues are the full death toll and who the military targeted.0:25Medics and the interior ministry put the combined toll at eight.0:29Their breakdown connects those deaths to two separate Israeli attacks, with three0:34people killed in the north and five in the south.0:37The attacks happened on Sunday, November first,0:40twenty twenty-six.0:42The northern strike was near Cairo School in Al Rimal.0:46The southern strike was in Al Mawassi, in western Khan Yunis.0:50Gaza City and Khan Unis are the two cities named in the casualty breakdown.0:55Hospital officials described a missile attack beside the school.0:59The attack in western Khan Unis was described as a drone strike.1:03Hospital officials described civilians.1:06Being hit near Cairo School, the boy's death is included in the three reported1:11deaths there.1:12The five people the Interior Ministry identified as police officers make up the rest1:18of the eight-person total.1:19A four-year-old boy was among those hospital officials said were killed near the1:24school.1:24His reported death gives the northern attack a concrete human cost, while the1:30separate southern strike accounts for the larger group of deaths.1:33The combined death toll is reported as eight or at least nine.1:38The higher figure covers the same two cities, but doesn't explain an additional1:42victim or identify another attack.1:45Eight people are accounted for in the two-strike breakdown.1:48At least nine is a competing reported total.1:51Whether that ninth death belongs to these same attacks hasn't been explained, so the1:57figures can't be combined.1:58A broader Gaza-wide tally also put the deaths at nine since dawn.2:03That could cover a wider set of attacks.2:05But nobody has connected the extra death to a specific incident.2:09Another nine-death tally still gave only five deaths in Khan Yunus and three in Gaza2:14City.2:15The eight-death figure appeared before the nine-death figure, and continued2:19afterward.2:20Publication order doesn't tell us when each casualty count was last updated.2:25There hasn't been an explained change from eight deaths to nine.2:28Coverage published on November second continued to give at least eight deaths, with2:33the same three plus five breakdown.2:36Those deaths belonged to the November first attacks.2:39The Interior Ministry identified the five dead in Khan Yunus as police officers.2:44Israel's military said it struck militants there.2:48The military hadn't supplied evidence showing what combat role those individuals2:52held or what they were doing when attacked.2:55Police employment alone doesn't show whether someone was taking part in hostilities.2:59Israel's description of its targets also needs evidence about the individuals3:04involved.3:05Their roles at the time of the strike remain unresolved.3:08Israel's military also described two attacks as targeting military operatives.3:14It hadn't provided evidence or further details with that statement.3:18Its response can't be reduced to a claim that it has never addressed the Gaza City3:23strike.3:24The incident by incident accounting supports eight reported deaths across the two3:28strikes.3:29The higher total still lacks an explanation connecting a ninth death to those3:34incidents.3:35The evidence behind the military's description of the people it targeted also3:39remains outstanding.Verkennen met HeyDexVolgen via RSS
