A major water-main break caused part of South Pine Island Road in Davie to collapse early Thursday, October 29, closing northbound lanes between Southwest 30th and Southwest 36th streets. Drivers were told to avoid the stretch; repairs and reopening have not been reported, and a later reopening has not been verified.
