A Wednesday morning explosion and fire at Loveland Products in Greenville sent black smoke into the air, prompting a shelter-in-place order for nearby residents. As of the report aired Nov. 4, residents were told to close windows and exterior doors, shut off systems drawing in outside air and avoid outdoor activity; the order’s lifting and the emergency response remain unresolved.
