RCMP said Jayden Dalke was driving the wrong way on Highway 11 with alcohol and cannabis in his SUV when he collided with Bhishma Rajyaguru, killing them both; police also said Dalke had left a gas station without paying shortly before the crash. Toxicology results were still pending when the report aired on July 23, 2026, and arrangements to repatriate Rajyaguru’s body remained a concern for his family.
