Update from MPD MPD responded this afternoon at approximately 5:25 PM to the 4700 block of 14th Streetin reference to a subject with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers found the individual alert. Meridian Police officers assisted and escorted Metro Ambulance to ensure a timely transport to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, there is no threat to the public.
