What we knew first
- The county issued a public warning, and the search was described as active at 10:23 p.m. EST on November 1.
Still open then
- Barthold’s whereabouts, whether he is injured, and whether the alert has since been canceled remain unconfirmed.
We said we'd watch for
- A dated law-enforcement update establishing capture or continued search, along with an explanation of the security breach.
