Where it stands

Patrick Frey is due to stand trial in February over allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted Ivona and her teenage daughter Paula after they moved to Switzerland in July 2022. Prosecutors are seeking a life sentence; Frey denies using date-rape drugs, and an appeal court has temporarily halted the women’s deportation. The trial and the court’s resolution of the charges remain pending.
