Woodbine barn fire destroys building, sends firefighter to hospital
İngilizce olarak mevcut
The latest dated medical information came from WBAL-TV’s Monday-afternoon report, which said the firefighter remained at a medical facility. That describes the situation on Monday—not a confirmed hospital stay continuing into Tuesday. No subsequent direct county medical update had been verified as of November 3.2
Howard County firefighters were called shortly before 7 a.m. Monday to the 16000 block of Ed Warfield Road, according to WFMD. The location was also identified as Warfield Road in the initial county response information carried by CBS News and WBFF. Those reports describe the same Woodbine fire.314
Howard County crews received help from firefighters in Montgomery, Carroll and Frederick counties. The mutual-aid response brought personnel from four Maryland counties to the scene; the available reports do not give a total number of firefighters or apparatus involved.3
Control came before the fire was out
CBS News described the interval from arrival to control as about an hour. That rounded account is consistent with the more detailed 50-minute estimate, rather than evidence of a substantive disagreement. The available timeline supports approximate milestones, not an exact dispatch minute or a minute-by-minute reconstruction.12
Getting the blaze under control did not mean every part of it had been extinguished. Crews stayed for an extended period after the control announcement, and officials said complete extinguishment took about two hours. The later information therefore moves the account beyond the initial announcement: the fire was out on Monday, not still burning on Tuesday.12
The medical and investigative questions remain
Howard County fire officials confirmed that one firefighter was transported to a hospital for treatment. Neither that transport nor the later report of the firefighter remaining at a medical facility establishes a diagnosis, injury severity, formal inpatient admission or discharge. There is no supported basis to describe the firefighter as stable, recovered or suffering life-threatening injuries.124
The Howard County Office of the Fire Marshal is investigating what started the blaze. No cause determination has been announced in the verified information available through Tuesday. The barn’s destruction and the collapse document the consequences of the fire; neither establishes an ignition source or responsibility.13
The emergency response has ended, but the account is not complete. The next consequential information would be a dated update on the firefighter’s condition or release and a fire-marshal finding explaining why the barn burned.
