災害 · Aviation safetySt Andrews emergency landing: Fuel exhaustion caused 2023 road landing文字 2026年11月5日 上午7:56 [UTC]逐字稿0:07A passenger plane landed on a gravel road after its left engine ran out of fuel.0:12All seven people escaped injury, and the aircraft was reported undamaged.0:17Findings released three years after the landing now explain how the flight used more0:21fuel than planned.0:23What has the operator changed since that failure in fuel planning?0:26The pilot made the road landing on November2nd,2023 .0:31The investigation findings came out on November4,2026 .0:36They connect the fuel exhaustion to a higher-than-planned climb and greater fuel0:41use.0:41The fuel shortage was already public on the day of the landing.0:45The new findings explain how the flight's fuel needs overtook the plan.0:49The aircraft came down five point six nautical miles north of Winnipeg St.0:54Andrews Airport in Manitoba.0:56It was returning to the airport when the left engine ran out of fuel, leaving the1:01pilot to bring it down on a gravel road.1:03Eagle Air Enterprises operated the Piper PA31350.1:08One pilot and six passengers were aboard.1:12Their intended arrival at the airport ended instead with an emergency landing on the1:17road.1:17The flight encountered stronger winds than expected.1:20The aircraft climbed higher than planned, and that additional climb required more1:25fuel than the pilot had allowed for.1:27Stronger winds led to a higher climb.1:30That climb increased fuel use beyond expectations.1:34As the plane returned to the airport, the left engine exhausted its fuel supply.1:39The pilot then made the emergency landing.1:42The aircraft was refueled after landing and took off again.1:45All seven occupants had avoided injury, and the plane was reported undamaged.1:51The flight could continue once fuel was supplied, but seven people had depended on a1:56safe roadside landing.1:57Eagle Air's stated response was to meet with its pilots and review flight plans and2:03procedures.2:04What that review changed in day-to-day fuel planning is still unclear.閱讀文章事件時間軸HeyDex
