The Cape Palliser pilot whale stranding

Stand der Dinge

All four found alive, including two returned to the water at high tide, have since died, and the rescue ended without any known survivors. The stranding response’s status beyond this is not reported as of 5 November 2026.

Im Blick: Any reconciled DOC count, explanation of the stranding, or announcement about recovery and handling of the carcasses.
