Hail on 2 November damaged crops near Birchip and Lascelles, interrupting one harvest and postponing another. Early estimates put losses at more than half of 400 hectares of canola and up to 70 per cent of a lupin crop; the damage assessment and recovery remain unresolved as of 5 November.
