As of November 5, 2026, a coyote was the first large mammal known to climb onto the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing near Agoura Hills, an early sign that animals may approach it before its scheduled December 2 opening. It could not cross the full structure because the soil connection was unfinished; the report says subsequent earthwork changed that situation but does not say whether the coyote later completed a crossing.
