灾害 · Brevard洪灾Brevard洪灾后报告两人死亡，供水和通行情况仍不明朗文字 2026年11月3日 UTC 19:12观看文字实录0:07Rescuers pulled a man from a palm tree in Crane Creek.0:10Palm Bay Mayor Rob Medina has identified two men who died after the flooding, but0:16officials haven't confirmed either cause of death.0:19Water main breaks have disrupted service, and Brevard schools have cancelled two0:24days of classes.0:25How close are residents to getting safe water, usable roads, and their schools back?0:30Medina identified Joshua Bennett,34 , and Archie Richards,78.0:36On Tuesday afternoon, November3.0:38Earlier that morning, police said one adult man had died because of flooding.0:42The mayor's later announcement increased the number of reported deaths to two.0:46Flood water cut off Palm Bay's Fairhaven area Monday.0:50High water vehicles were needed to reach the neighborhood.0:53Across the affected communities, residents were trapped in homes and vehicles, and0:58emergency dispatchers faced a flood of calls for help.1:01Sheriff Wayne Ivey urged people trapped in homes or flooded vehicles to call nine1:07one one.1:08He promised, We are getting to you as quickly as we can.1:12He said crews would reach residents even by swimming or using a kayak.1:16Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers rescued more than sixty1:21people by Monday evening.1:23They worked in Melbourne and Palm Bay.1:25That figure covers this agency's response, and the countywide number of people1:30rescued is still unclear.1:32Crews used helicopters, reconnaissance drones, airboats, and shallow water vessels,1:38evacuating pets as well as people.1:41Aviation personnel rescued the man clinging to a palm tree in Crane Creek.1:45Flooding had made ordinary vehicle access impossible in some neighborhoods.1:49Volisia Sheriff's crews also helped at Lamplighter Village overnight, carrying out1:54about fourteen high water rescue evacuations.1:57It's unclear how many people those evacuations involved, so that figure can't be2:02added to the agency's person count.2:04Southern Brevard's earlier rainfall estimate was sixteen to twenty-two inches on2:08Monday.2:09By Tuesday morning, more than two feet had fallen in the region.2:13Those regional figures describe different stages of the storm.2:17Rainfall varied from community to community.2:20Already saturated ground couldn't absorb much more rain, increasing rapid runoff.2:26Monday's forecast called for another one to three inches, with isolated amounts up2:32to five inches.2:33The original flood watch expired Monday evening, and an extended watch expired2:38Tuesday morning.2:40Flash flood warnings still covered parts of East Central Florida at ten a.m.2:44Tuesday.2:45Residents shouldn't treat those expired watch deadlines as a current local alert.2:50A water main break left some Palm Bay customers without service, while others still2:55had water.2:56The city expanded its affected area.2:59Flooded, unsafe conditions could delay the work needed to repair the main and3:03restore service.3:05Customers within that affected area must boil water for drinking.3:09Cooking and brushing teeth until the city lifts the notice.3:13A separate Melbourne water main break reduced pressure or cut service beyond the3:18city's limits.3:19Affected customers include people in Indialantic, Indian Harbor Beach, Melbourne3:25Beach, Satellite Beach, and some unincorporated areas.3:29They also face a boil water notice until further notice.3:33Officials haven't given a time for full restoration of Melbourne's water service.3:37Excess water overwhelmed Coco Beach's wastewater treatment plant and lift stations.3:43Residents, especially in the South End and Snug Harbor, were asked to limit3:48non-essential water use.3:50That conservation request reduces pressure on the overloaded sewage system, US192,3:56closed in both directions in West Melbourne on Monday evening, also called West New4:02Haven Avenue.4:04It was blocked between Coastal Lane and Wickham Road at Minton Road.4:08Numerous roads were still closed Tuesday.4:10Monday's closures also included Minton Road northbound at Helen Street and4:16southbound at US102.4:19Individual reopening updates haven't been confirmed for those locations.4:23Officials urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel and flooded roads because4:29appearances can't reliably tell a driver the water's depth.4:33Palm Bay shelter in place guidance continued into Tuesday, with residents urged to4:38stay indoors when possible.4:40Brightline suspended trains between Orlando and West Palm Beach because of high4:44water along its bravard corridor.4:47Maintenance crews were working there, and the railroad said safe conditions would4:52determine when trains could return.4:54Restart projections differ, ranging from Tuesday evening to Thursday, November54:59at2 p.5:00m.5:01Neither projection confirms that trains have resumed.5:04Passengers on the Orlando West Palm Beach section still need a confirmed service5:09update.5:09The southern section was operating normally, connecting Miami, Aventura, Fort5:14Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach.5:18The high water interruption affected the route farther north, leaving the railroad's5:23South Florida service running.5:24Court hearings and trials resumed Tuesday after Monday's shutdown.5:29But the Melbourne and Palm Bay Clerk branches remained closed.5:33Other clerk locations reopened.5:35Although staffing could be affected, Monday's closures had also cancelled value5:40adjustment board hearings.5:41The state attorney's office was closed Monday too.5:45Medical access also suffered that morning.5:47Health First Medical Group closed all locations, with only tentative plans to reopen5:53that afternoon.5:54Its Malabar, Eldrin, and Indialantic labs remained closed in that notice, and6:00family pharmacy locations had delayed openings.6:03Those Monday notices don't confirm which facilities are open now.6:06Governor Ron DeSantis.6:08Declared a state of emergency Monday for Brevard and six other counties.6:13The declaration activated the Florida National Guard and Florida State Guard, and6:19set state agencies coordinating response resources and recovery assistance.6:24The other counties covered were DeSoto, Hardy, Highlands, Indian River,6:29Martin, and Saint Lucie.6:31In Fairhaven, officials still haven't provided a confirmed access update after6:36Monday's loss of access.6:38Brevard Public Schools cancelled classes Monday and Tuesday, November2 and3 .6:43The district expects to reopen Wednesday, November4, and resume normal operations.6:49Crews are inspecting campuses as conditions allow to assess flooding and check that6:54buildings are safe.阅读文章事件时间线HeyDex谁报道了什么多家媒体报道的要点Brevard Public Schools said it was closed due to flooding.2 家媒体仅一家媒体报道的要点23仅National Weather Service报道The NWS declared a
