Gavin Smith was jailed for six years and nine months after admitting drug-export and related offences, including a conspiracy involving ketamine and cocaine concealed in hollowed-out rope bound for New Zealand. The court heard there was no evidence he actually sent cocaine there; the sentence has been reported, but the charter’s endpoint—conclusion of the sentence and resolution of any related proceedings—is not established.
