- 🇸🇩🇸🇸 Drone strikes on Amiet Common Market in the disputed Abyei region, on the Sudan-South Sudan border, killed at least 73 people and wounded 19 on Monday, local officials said. About 12 strikes hit the market from around 11:30 a.m., including the area where fuel was sold, Abyei's information minister Yohana Akol Ngor and a Ngok Dinka paramount chief told Radio Tamazuj. Some bodies were burned beyond recognition, and the toll could rise. The victims were civilians from Sudan and South Sudan, most of them traders. Local officials blamed the Sudanese army; this has not been independently verified. Sources told Radio Tamazuj the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) used the market to buy fuel. The strike came a day after a drone attack near a market in Al-Dibab, West Kordofan, killed 80 people, AFP reported. Sources: Radio Tamazuj; Eye Radio; Sudans Post DPA News Desk
