其事件编号为KABQ.FA.W.0025。
这是另一项警报事件,编号为KABQ.FA.W.0026。
- Floodwater reached low-lying parts of Gallup. Drivers faced the possibility of impassable low-water crossings across the warned area. The flooding happened on November first, twenty twenty-six, with the warning scheduled to end that evening. It's still unclear whether local roads stayed hazardous after the warning ended.
- Emergency managers reported flooding in Gallup and elsewhere across the warned area. The warning covered western Cibola County and McKinley County in west-central New Mexico. Low-lying ground and flood-prone waterways were the concern.
- Gallup was the community specifically identified in the flooding observation. Elsewhere, forecasters described flooding as occurring or about to occur along rivers, creeks, streams and other vulnerable locations. Conditions could vary across the area.
- Emergency managers confirmed ongoing flooding that afternoon, after forecasters had issued the warning earlier. The afternoon Flood Statement kept that existing warning in place until nine p.m. Its scheduled end time stayed unchanged.
- Heavy rain had already appeared on radar before the original warning went out. By the afternoon continuation, the reported rainfall range was higher, and emergency managers had supplied a specific observation of flooding in low-lying Gallup.
- The earlier warning put rainfall at a quarter to three-quarters of an inch, with another half to one inch possible. The afternoon continuation put rainfall at half to one and a quarter inches, with up to another half inch possible.
- Those ranges covered the warned area. They weren't readings from one identified rain gauge, so subtracting them wouldn't tell us precisely how much more rain fell at a particular location. The additional amounts were forecasts.
- Low-water crossings could become inundated and impassable. The official advice was straightforward: don't drive on flooded roads. That warning applied to water across the roadway, even as the amount of further rain remained uncertain.
- A separate warning later that evening covered another area, including Grants. It included western Sandoval County, central Cibola County and northeastern McKinley County, and carried a later expiration.
- The Gallup-area warning was scheduled to end at nine p.m. The separate warning covered parts of three counties and was scheduled to end at ten p.m. That later deadline belonged to a different warning event.
- In that separate area, radar and automated gauges indicated half to one and a half inches of rain. Up to another quarter inch was possible. Forecasters described flooding there as imminent or occurring.
- The expiration statement kept the Gallup warning's nine p.m. endpoint and said heavy rain had ended. No extension through November fourth has been confirmed. Later road conditions and damage in Gallup haven't been confirmed either. An expiring warning alone couldn't guarantee that every crossing was passable.
