- 🚨 What we know — and don't — about the Learjet 60 crash in Florida. On Nov 1, 2026, Learjet 60 N722BD crashed in Greenacres, Florida, killing all nine aboard. No injuries on the ground. The crew reported light icing and moderate turbulence and requested a climb before the jet descended at over 360 km/h. The crash footage circulating online is authentic. The widely shared audio is live ATC radio traffic, publicly archived by https://t.co/XCWBk1TAKL. It is not data from the cockpit voice recorder — no CVR transcript has been released. Claims that cockpit recordings were "released too quickly" are based on this misunderstanding. Pilot names circulating on social media are unconfirmed; authorities have not identified the crew. Theories that the jet was shot down rest solely on its proximity to Mar-a-Lago and a governor's quote about the trajectory of the fall, taken out of context — no agency supports this. Early technical scenarios attributing the crash to icing or turbulenc...

- A relief fund had money for eighteen of sixty-eight displaced residents it aimed to help.
- Those November sixth figures left a fifty-thousand-dollar gap, while displaced residents faced bills and lost wages. On November eighth, we reported the recovery of an engine portion and evidence that part of the elevator separated before impact.
- How much help can reach these families while they wait for permission to return home?
- Thirty-one people were still sheltering at the Greenacres Community Center on November sixth. Nearly a week after the crash near Cresthaven, some residents remained separated from their homes, essential belongings and the routines that let them earn a living.
- The Learjet 60 crashed around twelve fifty Sunday afternoon, November first, in Palm Beach County, Florida. All nine aboard died, two crew members and seven passengers. The flight was traveling from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.
- The shelter count captures just one place where displaced people were staying. Initial evacuation accounts put the number at about six hundred. People staying with relatives, in hotels or elsewhere wouldn't necessarily appear in the Community Center count.
- The fund's sixty-eight identified individuals are another group again. That's its assistance target within the mobile-home community. These figures don't tell us how many people have returned home, and there's still no final count of everyone displaced.
- Joseph Santana Quiroz said he hadn't been allowed home all week and had missed work without pay. He was among those staying at the Community Center. His question was direct: “When are they going to let us back home?”
- He also said, “We can't tell the bank we can't pay because this happened.” His experience shows how displacement can drain a household's income even while rent, loans and other bills continue.
- The planned grants are one thousand dollars per eligible individual. Funding for eighteen of the sixty-eight identified people leaves fifty more to cover. At that funding level, reaching the whole target would take another fifty thousand dollars.
- The West Palm Beach-based Emergency Assistance Foundation launched the People First Fund for the Green Acres Mobile Home Community crash. Its cash grants would let eligible residents choose their most urgent needs, including temporary housing, food and supplies.
- Josselyn Hodges, who directs the foundation's People First Fund Initiative, said it was ready to take applications. The foundation was working with Emergency Operations Center members to identify people with the greatest needs and give them a direct application link.
- Eighteen grants represent eighteen thousand dollars in assistance capacity. Sixty-eight grants would require sixty-eight thousand dollars. The donations covered about twenty-six point five percent of the target. Those calculations describe the November sixth snapshot, rather than today's fund balance.
- The foundation hasn't said how many grants have actually reached recipients. The cash is intended to complement shelter and food services, and comes through a charitable relief fund.
- Deputies had helped more than thirty business owners and numerous residents reach their properties by November sixth. Those assisted visits allowed people to collect essential belongings and assess damage, while teams continued locating and recovering human remains.
- Residents still need clearance to move back in. Military Trail's closure corridor runs between Cresthaven Boulevard and Tenth Avenue North, but authorities haven't given a confirmed reopening date. Earlier estimates of weeks of repairs didn't set an appointment for the road to reopen.
- State Representative Debra Tendrich is preparing for another expense when families get home: replacing spoiled groceries. Through her organization, Eat Better Live Better, she's working to replenish refrigerators after electricity was cut off and food could no longer be kept cold.
- Her affordable, farmers-market-style food pantry was already receiving between twenty-five and one hundred new grocery-assistance applications each week before the crash. That's existing demand on the organization. The displaced families add needs ranging from food to getting to medical appointments and obtaining medications.
- The Red Cross and community members delivered supplies during the week. Dare to Care brought mobile showers and laundry facilities to the Community Center, giving people a way to manage basic daily needs while they remained away from home.
- Timothy Murphy said Dare to Care was called on Monday, November second, and had stayed since. Those services help people get through displacement, but residents still don't know how long they'll need somewhere else to live.
- The sheriff's office identified all nine victims on November fourth. Adam Robinson was forty-five, correcting the age of forty-four carried in our earlier report. He died with his wife, Helen Sharp, their children Charles and Emma, their caregiver and two family friends.
- Robinson co-founded the email-marketing platform Robly and founded Retention.com, which was based in Austin. His family lived in Aspen, Colorado. The crew were pilot Jeffrey Gregory, fifty-five, and co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, twenty.
- The identification names the children as Charles, also called Charlie, and Emma. Family accounts used some different spellings and shorter names for the caregiver and friends. Those variants refer to the same victims and shouldn't be counted as additional passengers.
- Gregory had worked for East Coast Jets in twenty sixteen and twenty seventeen. Filgueiras earned her pilot's license in twenty twenty-three, at seventeen, while a senior at West Boca Raton Community High School.
- The sheriff's forensic teams, the county medical examiner and the FBI worked on identification. By November fourth, all next of kin had been notified. The medical examiner was coordinating reunification with families, while the collection of remains continued.
- Forensic analysis hadn't identified any additional unknown victims at that announcement. The victim-identification list resolves earlier uncertainty over names, although an original operational passenger manifest hasn't been released.
- Investigators recovered a portion of one engine after excavation began late November fourth and continued the next day. They also found debris away from the impact location and on nearby roofs. Recovered wreckage was to go to a secure location for examination.
- The NTSB identifies the operator as Aurora Aviation, doing business as Upper Jet. The agency leads the investigation with FAA assistance. Its latest dated written recovery update remains November fifth, and investigators haven't determined the cause.
- Investigators recovered most of the left elevator in three pieces, between one point three and three point eight miles from impact. The elevator helps control the aircraft's nose-up and nose-down movement. That distance shows the pieces separated before the jet hit the ground.
- Investigators still have to determine whether that separation triggered the loss of control or happened under forces during the descent. The crew's radio calls described icing, turbulence, overspeed and a rapid descent. Those calls haven't resolved the sequence.
- Earlier accounts gave crew-reported descent figures of twenty thousand and twenty-two thousand feet per minute. Those figures shouldn't be combined into one definitive measured rate. The publicly discussed audio captures air-traffic-control radio traffic, rather than everything said inside the cockpit.
- Investigators haven't announced a recorder recovery or a finding that settles what started the emergency. A preliminary report was expected in about a month, but that was an estimate, not a fixed publication date.
- The fund offers a route to immediate financial help, with capacity for eighteen planned grants in the November sixth snapshot. Reaching all sixty-eight identified people would require another fifty thousand dollars. How long residents must cover expenses away from home is still unknown.
- Authorities haven't given a confirmed timetable for reoccupying homes or a service-by-service utility restoration schedule. Assisted visits let residents collect belongings, while the wait to live in their homes continues.
