  1. IRONMAN now confirms Magnus Ditlev won in seven hours, nineteen minutes and seventeen seconds.
  2. On November 8, we reported that winning time while leaving the official seconds unresolved. His finish remains the reported fastest full-distance performance, while Alanis Siffert’s women’s course-record victory now has official timing behind it too.
  3. What do those confirmed times settle about the record claims and the places at Kona?
  4. Ditlev won in Panama City Beach on November 7. His performance invites comparisons with Kalmar and Roth, while the podium finishers are chasing places at the world championship in Kona. Each comparison answers a different question.
  5. Denmark’s Ditlev swam forty-seven minutes and fifty-two seconds, ten seconds behind swim leader Andrew Horsfall-Turner. He then built his advantage on the bike, reaching the second transition more than eleven minutes clear. His official ride took three hours, fifty-one minutes and sixteen seconds. He followed it with a two-hour, thirty-three-minute, thirty-one-second marathon.
  6. Ditlev’s official finish is seven hours, nineteen minutes and seventeen seconds. Add his five displayed segments, including both transitions, and they total seven hours, nineteen minutes and sixteen seconds. The one-second gap remains unexplained; the official finish stands.
  7. His first transition took four minutes and five seconds, and his second took two minutes and thirty-two seconds. Those are the official intervals. A separate professional results database adds a second to each transition, producing a component total of seven hours, nineteen minutes and eighteen seconds while retaining the same finish.
  8. Matt Hanson’s marathon is two hours, twenty-eight minutes and seven seconds. Sam Long’s bike is three hours, fifty-nine minutes and fifty-nine seconds. Horsfall-Turner’s swim is forty-seven minutes and forty-two seconds. Each resolves an earlier one-second discrepancy.
  9. The small arithmetic gaps extend beyond Ditlev. Hanson’s and Long’s displayed segments each add to one second less than their finishes. Horsfall-Turner’s add to two seconds less than his eight-hour, fifteen-minute, fifty-second finish. Rudy von Berg’s segments reconcile exactly. Nobody has explained the differences, so calling them rounding would be a guess.
  10. Robert Kallin rode three hours, fifty-three minutes and twelve seconds at Kalmar in August. Ditlev’s three hours, fifty-one minutes and sixteen seconds beats that by one minute and fifty-six seconds. Both sides of that comparison now have official athlete times.
  11. We already corrected the older comparison with Cameron Wurf’s three-hour, fifty-three-minute, thirty-two-second Texas ride. That produced a two-minute, sixteen-second improvement, overstating the margin by twenty seconds. Ditlev’s Florida performance hasn’t changed. His confirmed bike split also settles the conflicting three-hour, fifty-one-minute, fifty-six-second figure that appeared in an analysis.
  12. Von Berg finished second in seven hours, thirty-three minutes and twenty-five seconds, fourteen minutes and eight seconds behind. Hanson took third in seven hours, thirty-five minutes and forty-eight seconds, sixteen minutes and thirty-one seconds behind Ditlev.
  13. Long finished fourth in seven hours, thirty-eight minutes and fifty-nine seconds, nineteen minutes and forty-two seconds back. Von Berg pulled away from Long during the marathon, and Hanson also passed him. Hanson ran faster than the winner, but Ditlev had already built an advantage too large to recover.
  14. Subtracting each marathon from each finish puts Hanson twenty-one minutes and fifty-five seconds behind before the run. That’s a calculation, rather than a separate checkpoint reading. He recovered five minutes and twenty-four seconds, leaving sixteen minutes and thirty-one seconds at the finish.
  15. Hanson’s marathon lowered his reported 2023 Florida run record by five minutes and fifty-nine seconds. Ditlev cut fifteen minutes and twenty-four seconds from von Berg’s reported 2023 overall course record, and seven minutes and forty-six seconds from his own previous Florida bike mark. His victory followed a world-championship withdrawal in Kona four weeks earlier.
  16. Switzerland’s Alanis Siffert won in eight hours, seven minutes and thirty-seven seconds. The twenty-four-year-old from Fribourg finished sixteen minutes and nineteen seconds ahead of Britain’s Holly Lawrence. Germany’s Laura Jansen completed the podium, twenty-four minutes and forty-four seconds behind.
  17. Siffert’s official finish also resolves the conflicting eight-hour, eight-minute, thirty-six-second time. Her five official segments add up exactly. Her transitions took three minutes and forty-nine seconds, then one minute and thirty-nine seconds. The professional database displays each a second longer, creating a two-second mismatch that the official intervals resolve.
  18. Siffert swam fifty-one minutes and nine seconds, then rode four hours, twenty-five minutes and fifty-seven seconds. Her marathon took two hours, forty-five minutes and three seconds. Lawrence and Jansen’s official segments also reconcile exactly with their finishes.
  19. Siffert lowered Skye Moench’s reported 2023 Florida record of eight hours, twenty-two minutes and twenty-eight seconds by fourteen minutes and fifty-one seconds. Her marathon cut eight minutes and twenty-three seconds from Jessica Jacobs’s reported 2011 course mark. Those Florida comparisons are separate from her unofficial Swiss long-distance best.
  20. Siffert finished forty-four seconds faster than Daniela Ryf’s eight-hour, eight-minute, twenty-one-second Roth performance in 2023. Her management describes Florida as the fourth-fastest women’s full-distance time. That historical ranking carries a different status from her confirmed race result.
  21. She’d already won Challenge Roth this year in eight hours, nine minutes and nine seconds. Florida was ninety-two seconds faster, following a podium at the half-distance world championship in Nice. But she had to come from behind here. Lawrence swam just one second slower, then rode faster and reached the second transition ahead.
  22. Finish-minus-run calculations put Siffert one minute and twenty-six seconds behind Lawrence entering the marathon. She took the lead within four miles and ran seventeen minutes and forty-five seconds faster, turning that deficit into a sixteen-minute, nineteen-second victory.
  23. Lawrence’s runner-up finish, after an injury interruption, took eight hours, twenty-three minutes and fifty-six seconds. Jansen finished in eight hours, thirty-two minutes and twenty-one seconds. Siffert’s victory sets up her first Kona appearance. For Ditlev, the broader record comparison still reaches beyond Florida’s timing system.
  24. His finish is one minute and forty-seven seconds faster than Sam Laidlow’s reported Roth time this year. It’s one minute and fifty-five seconds faster than Kristian Blummenfelt’s Cozumel time from 2021. The confirmed seconds support the reported best, while measured distances and comparable currents, weather and course conditions remain unresolved.
  25. All six podium finishers reportedly earned Kona places, with three available for each gender and none already qualified. That advances Hanson’s position beyond the earlier presumption that he would take the final men’s place. Their official acceptance of those places still hasn’t been confirmed.
